About Sara Scott

Tailored Designs’ owner, Sara Scott, had a passion for interior spaces that started when her parents were building a custom home in her adolescence. Sara fostered that passion as early on as high school when a teacher offered to create an independent study class for her.

After completing her Interior Design class, she chose East Carolina University (Go Pirates!) to study Interior Design.  ECU had a specific kitchen and bath course, and were accredited by the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA).

Out of college Sara got her start at high end kitchen and bath showroom where she learned all the ins and outs of cabinetry. In 2011, Sara moved back to Charlotte to work as a designer and project coordinator at a remodeling firm. For six years she grew her knowledge in product selection and all the intricacies of remodeling.

With over ten years of experience, she hopes to bring clients the best design experience possible. Sara loves getting to know her clients, learning how their current space no longer works for them, and then creating a unique space that is truly tailored to them.
